The stages, broadly
Without getting into specific thresholds, formulas or strategy details — which we don't publish, for the same reason no serious trading operation publishes its exact playbook — it's useful to understand the engine's work at a conceptual level. For every account it manages, Project Iris reads live market data, checks whether current conditions meet its rules for a legitimate opportunity, and only then considers acting.
Sizing and management
If it decides to act, it sizes the position appropriately for that account's own risk settings — never a one-size-fits-all amount — and then manages the position while it's open, including the risk controls that protect the account as the trade develops. If a position moves against it, a structured recovery process manages that situation, always within the account's pre-set risk and drawdown limits.
What this means for you
This is a conceptual description of how the engine is structured, not an implementation guide, and it deliberately stops short of specifics. What matters for you is that every stage operates within limits you've already set for your own account, and that those limits are enforced independently of the trading logic itself.
In detail
- Stage one: reading live market data for the symbols relevant to an account.
- Stage two: checking whether current conditions meet the engine's rules for a legitimate opportunity.
- Stage three: sizing any resulting position according to that specific account's own risk settings.
- Stage four: managing the position while it's open, including the risk controls that apply as the trade develops.
- Stage five, when needed: a structured recovery process for a position that has moved against it, always within the account's limits.
One more thing
We're describing these stages at this level of detail, and no deeper, for the same reason a trading desk doesn't publish its exact playbook: the specific thresholds and formulas involved are part of how the engine does its work effectively, and publishing them wouldn't serve you as a customer.
What we think is genuinely useful for you to know is the shape of the process and the fact that every stage operates within limits you've already set — which is the part we're happy to describe openly.
