- Invoices, credit notes, statements and contracts now share one consistent layout
- The diagonal "WAIVED" watermark is now a plain status label
- Plain-text emails now always include the same legal footer as the formatted version
Billing documents — invoices, credit notes, statements and contracts — and the emails that deliver them have moved to a new, shared layout on both your Billing page and in your inbox, consistent with the rest of the redesign. The older diagonal "WAIVED" watermark some documents used has been replaced with a plain status label, matching how every other status is shown elsewhere in the product.
Why
Documents like invoices and statements are often kept and referred back to, so consistency and plain, unambiguous labelling matter even more there than on a page you glance at once. A watermark reading "WAIVED" diagonally across a document was less clear than a simple, consistent status label.
What you need to do
Nothing — your existing documents aren't changed retroactively, but any new invoice, statement or contract you receive will use the refreshed layout.
In detail
- Invoices, credit notes, statements and contracts now share one layout, consistent with the rest of the redesign.
- The diagonal "WAIVED" watermark some documents used was replaced with a plain status label, matching how every other status is shown elsewhere.
- On invoices, statements and contracts specifically, the fuller company address form is shown, as required for proper invoicing.
A small but telling fix
Replacing the diagonal "WAIVED" watermark with a plain status label reflects a larger principle in this redesign: a status should be stated in words, in a consistent place, rather than illustrated with a visual flourish that has to be learned.
We also made sure the plain-text version of every email — the version shown when images and formatting are switched off — consistently includes the same legal footer as the formatted version, closing a gap that's easy to miss.
